Workshop I: The Scientific Approach, Introduction to Project Management and Ethics in Research

The first workshop out of 4 planned took place in Copenhagen, April 2-3. 2014.

The workshop was addressing the defined transferable research
skills 1-3 (TRS1-3). The workshop was a mixture of lectures and exercises allowing the fellows to work on their own project idea and goals.

Contend of the workshop: Scientific approach, critical thinking and evidence-based arguments, Project planning, Project Management, Self-Management, Project Goals, Ethics in research: Integrity in data analysis; data ownership and protection; confidentiality and conflicts of interest; professional responsibility and accountability, animal experimentation – the 3 “Rs” and humane endpoints.

The workshop was mediated by Dr. C.J. Fitzsimons from Leadership Sculptor.
